Bonjour Paris & Nuremberg - Japan Expo Paris, Veggieman, The Green Nuremberg & Many More Adventures

Thursday
morning on my way to Nuremberg.

It has been a nice and comfortable ride arriving at 1pm already. It was such a funny but happy moment meeting Isy in person finally after texting and talking over phone for months before since we got to know each other through the event which we joined as ambassadors. One of the main reasons why I love my job so much as nothing is more wonderful than meeting new people and even becoming friends in real life like I did with Isy.

I dropped off my luggage at her work and started to explore Nuremberg on my own as I had the day free until 7. My first impression of Nuremberg was that it’s quite small, especially when you have been to London just a week before. The streets are covered in bicycle roads what I haven't seen in other towns like that yet. I spotted a few places like Lush and Urban Outfitters where I went into.

At lunch time I went into a cute and vegan cat café for Poppyseed & Blueberry Cake and a Macadamia Milk Latte which was basically my first one with that kind of milk ever. Really good!

It started to rain very bad what lasted until the next morning. Such a shame. Not that I have something against rain but it makes my hair super frizzy and the combination of heavy wind and wetness straight into your face isn't that comfortable. So escaping into different stores helped me before I picked up Isy. Right before I received a notification on my phone that our flights had been cancelled. That made me super anxious as nothing like that ever happened before! While going back home to her we found out that we got other separate flights instead to a much later time, which was sad as it meant one day less in Paris for us. We were able to be lucky enough to rebook my flight to get on the same plane so at least something that calmed us back down!

Long evening at Veggieman where we got dinner, both the Sporty Mac N‘ Cheese which was basically red lentil fusilli pasta with cashew sauce and spinach. Very yummy! That place is 100% organic and you have such an amazing selection on the card to find something for everyone. The dishes are like fast food in the first place but with healthy and high-quality ingredients. The names of the dishes like the salad "The Big Lebowski" are just so cool! Also everything is self-made by an own recipe so you really get a nice taste experience! Isy had chocolate peanut nice cream and I tried their brownies which blew my mind!

Friday
night was a short one just as like the others(these were even shorter). But due our flight change we could sleep off the morning.

We went to the airport and landed safely in Paris, where we had to take a shuttle bus to our hotel from there.

I tell you the CDG is huge. Like man it bought us into troubles which I come back to later. One funny thing I noticed immediately was the word 'sauf' like at “sauf bus”, which basically means drinking heavily in Germany so that gave us a good laughter haha.

We had the evening to explore Paris whereto we went to the Arc of Triomphe, then on the famous Champs Elysées Avenue with stores like Etam which I can really recommend!(bought a super cute swimwear top there) and the Disney Store which wasn't that stunning but worth a quick look, followed by the Eiffel Tower of course to see it by night. My friends told me it's not allowed to post pictures of the Eiffel Tower by night online due the rights. Is that true? I'm not sure but I don't want to risk it.

The manager of Yamani, Emeric, joined us later for midnight dinner, which turned out a bit weak as I basically had potatoes with ketchup and lettuce but that couldn't ruin my mood.

On Saturday
we got ready for the Japan Expo which we went to at like 1 or 2 pm. Before we got breakfast and coffee at Starbucks. I like to mention that my Frappuccino with almond milk I went for was SO weak that it basically just tasted like almond milk without any coffee inside. I'm not sure if that's normal there? Isy tried mine and said it actually tasted like coffee so I don't know if I'm just used to drink mine strong or if the coffee in France is just weak haha.

The Expo was HUGE. Nothing in compare to the Leipziger Book Fair I went to the last couple of years where there is just a tiny hall of it. You can have a look here and also here. I came across a few booths like the Instax one where I had a nice chat with the staff and took a cute picture for their project @unknownprojectphoto. There were lots of other cute booths with food, snacks, cosplays and clothing, games and manga, small independent brands and artists but also more known companies.

Our stage session was at 4 pm. I tell you I nearly fainted backstage before we jumped onto the stage. It was such a huge deal to me since I never did something like that before. Once someone handed me the microphone I realized that this is a real serious thing now. The first minutes on the stage felt like a nightmare but then we stated to introduce ourselves and made this giveaway with questions, where I gifted three lucky people small Mikemura-San plushie 🐱

After the convention Isy, Annalena, her boyfriend and me went into central Paris again to have dinner at Hank Burger as loads of my friends and followers recommended it to me next to VG Pâtisserie, which we unfortunately couldn't go to as we had not enough time. Hank is a quite small place with two floors, offering a fully vegan menu. We got a nice place to sit down upstairs and enjoyed our burgers! I got a special Le Touriste Burger whereto the toppings change daily, made after the mood of the chef! It was very tasty and I loved the fried onions on it 🍔 I know they have a pizza place somewhere around in the near too which is probably amazing as well in case you're craving more for pizza.

I also went into a supermarket as I was on the hunt for the Sojasun products. They have a range of vegan stuff like pudding with one hazelnut almond flavor whereto people said it tastes like Monte(one of the few things I really miss). I spotted it but it came in a package of four so don't wanted to buy it as I thought I can't take it with me through the airport. But if you see it try it! We don't have that brand available in Germany.

Then we also spotted this sugar below, sugar daddy haha! The prices over there are insane though. Honestly I thought London is expensive but THIS. Wow.

Fueled and satisfied we went back to our hotel, firstly through the pride mood streets of Paris. I just love how you can spot the rainbows everywhere while being surrounded by wonderful and open-minded people. So much love 🌈

Now coming to the disaster I was mentioning earlier already - since the CDG Airport where we had to go back again to get to our hotel is so huge, we missed our last shuttle to our hotel and since literally anyone in France can speak English no one could help us out either. In the end we were running barefoot with a trolley around the airport trying to find a taxi or something but decided to wait for an Uber then. My app didn't work but we figured out a way to fix it so next time Uber is the direct way and rescue! It was a bit messy overall but fun as well and in the end we made it back into our bed!

Sunday
was the day we had to leave again. Our flight was very early at 8 in the morning. We had loads of time to spend in Nuremberg so we had lunch at THE GREEN, which I found before through researches and really wanted to go to as that place looks so lovely. And it truly does in person too! I just felt in love with the interior and the owners are more than lovely. The combination of the raw walls with the fancy furniture and the cute little plants everywhere gives you so much comfort that you could spend your whole day in there. The food was great as well. You have a selection of different breakfast and lunch options, soup and salad, daily specials, smoothies, on top of coffee and milkshakes with homemade cashew milk! Isy got herself an Acai Bowl and a Flamingo Smoothie, I had the Wild Mushrooms Sandwich along with an Iced Almond Milk Coffee followed by a Snickers Ice Treat and Isy had a piece of Chocolate Cake. The dessert was my favorite I think as I live for sweet things hehe.

Afterwards Isy showed me a bit around Nuremberg and I took my bus back home at 6. The bus ride was a little torture for me as I had a panic attack which I can't explain why. It was really hard for me to collect my thoughts but I told myself just to close my eyes and not doing anything for three hours, means no phone, no writing, just trying to meditate and to dream. I haven't had one in a long time that's why it made me brittle inside now and I'm still scared. Also the reason why I didn't write about the second part of my trip on the bus what I usually do on my travel journeys. Did it now afterwards at home instead.

Jajajaja :D

So overall that was a crazy adventure with loads of laughers and also angry moments but a beautiful memory which has expanded my mind a lot. My opinion about Paris is split. I didn't have the opportunity to see much but what I saw was truly magnificent. For the whole trip I felt like I'm in the game Zanzarah(totally old but underrated game which is one of my favorites, I guess most of you probably don't know it). It's sad so little people can speak English over there which made the communication very difficult. Also the vegan options are limited and it's very expensive in the supermarkets. But we met lots of wonderful and lovely people! Huge, special thanks to Yamani and the Mikemura Tabineko family again for having us! Also to my lovely friend Isy and Annalena and her boyfriend as well the other influencers who we met at the Expo. I hope to see you soon again. Maybe next time in Japan!
